Together we can make a difference! Organized by Kappa Delta Sorority, the Confidence Coalition brings together all of the organizations, companies and individuals committed to promoting confidence among girls and women.
By banding together, we are creating a movement to empower women and girls to be more confident and stand up against the issues that can impact our self-esteem -- media stereotypes, spousal and dating abuse, risky behaviors, relational aggression, bullying, hazing, gossiping -- virtually all of things that keep us from living the lives we imagine.
A national media campaign and the "Go Confidently! Collection" Purse Drive will create awareness for the coalition and provide ways for women to promote confidence.
Dove Campaign for Real Beauty
In early 2006, Kappa Delta joined the groundbreaking Dove Campaign for Real Beauty to help raise self-esteem in girls and women. The campaign is a global effort intended to serve as a starting point for societal change and act as a catalyst for widening the definition and discussion of beauty. Girls and women of all ages benefit from the campgain as we explore what it is to be beautiful with our friends, co-workers, mothers and daughters.
KiDs Need To Be KiDs
From hurricanes in the Gulf to wildfires in California, and most recently the floods in the Midwest -- when a natural disaster occurs, many of us feel the need to do something to help those whose lives have been turned upside down. Sometimes it's difficult to know just what to do.
As Kappa Deltas with a long history of community service, we are prepared to reach out to those who have been affected by these kinds of tragedies. In the most recent phase of our KiDs Need to Be KiDs campaign, Kappa Delta is leading the nation in gathering NEW toys, games, books and blankets for children who have been affected by these tragedies. We encourage you to join the campaign.
Kappa Delta launched its KiDs Need to Be KiDs campaign just days following Hurricane Katrina. The sorority was able to gather thousands of toys, games and other necessities in the weeks that followed. Together we continued to make a difference in the lives of children in need.
The KiDs Need to Be KiDs campaign addresses the emotional needs of young victimes. While many other organizations worked to meet the basic needs of victims, Kappa Delta is provided comfort and support to those children whose lives are in chaos.
